Meet Dr. Nicklaus Thompson
Introduction to Chiropractic
Born and raised in the Smiths Falls and Perth area, Dr. Thompson first encountered chiropractic care after sustaining a concussion and dealing with persistent neck pain. Following successful treatment, he developed an interest in the beneficial role chiropractic can play in athletics, pain management, and general health and wellness.
Education & Approach to Care
Dr. Thompson attended the University of Ottawa, completing a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics prior to earning his Doctorate of Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College.
Dr. Thompson is an evidence-informed practioner who takes a patient-centered approach to treatment and care. His treatment options include a combination of chiropractic manipulations (adjustments), mobilizations, soft tissue therapy, Functional Integrated Acupuncture, IASTM (instrument-assisted soft tissue therapy), and exercise rehabilitation.
Through both personal and clinical experience, Dr. Thompson understands and emphasizes the importance of patient communication and collaboration, with the intent of empowering patients with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to meet and achieve their unique and individualized goals.
Outside the Office
During his free time, Dr. Thompson enjoys staying active through recreational running, weight training, golf, and adventuring outdoors. An avid professional football and golf fan, Dr. Thompson is always happy to chat about the latest PGA/LPGA, NFL, and college football news.
